The Truth

"Welcome to Stevenson high school! What is your name?" said this annoying lady in the front doors of the place Kay would be spending the next four years at.

"Um... Kay Grouse." she said in an I-don't-want-to-be-here tone of voice.

"Oh! Here are your papers that you need to fill out and sign by next Monday!" The lady said in a tone of voice that Kay wanted shoot her for. "I know that you will enjoy Stevenson High School! Have a good first day!"

"Ya, whatever." said Kay.

As Kay was heading to her first hour she noticed many people that were from her middle school. She said hi to all of them and talked with her BEST friend, Annie. During the time Kay found out that she had first hour and lunch with her! That cheered her up a lot but she still wasn't looking forward to high school at all. Since she and Annie had first hour together they walked together. The second they walked in they could tell that first hour wasn't going to be quiet at all.

Kay said goodbye to Annie and then went to her second hour. When she walked in the door Annie saw this really annoying kid that was in her class last year, Andrew. Kay got so annoyed with him last year and assumed that this year wouldn't be any different. Maybe he won't notice me... thought Kay.

But sure enough, "Hey Kay!" said Andrew, "How was your summer?"

"Um... okay i guess." Kay responded.

"Well that's good! My summer was great! My family and i went to this HUGE........" Kay blocked out Andrew's annoying voice and listened to the teacher. That was very unlike Kay but it was the only thing she could do to get rid of the annoying sound coming out of Andrew's mouth. Oh wait that was his voice!

RING!!! The bell sent Kay out of her seat and made her scream. Everyone laughed at her like she was an alien or something. Obviously Kay wasn't having a good day so far. When leaving second hour Kay thought that she might as well just go home and not come to school tomorrow. But then she thought to herself No, i better just stay here at school because mom and dad would kill me.

Making her way through the busy halls of Stevenson High School, Kay kept on getting pushed around. At first she was so mad at everyone that almost sent her to the ground. By the end of the day though she realized that she did that too and felt bad for being so mad at them.

Once Kay got home she literally collapsed on the floor in the foyer of her house. And decided that before she got bombarded with questions from her mom she should make her way upstairs. But that thought was a little too late.

"Hey honey! How was your first day of high school? Did you like it more than you thought you would? Do you have a lot of homework?" said Mrs. Grouse.

Kay replied tiredly," School sucks. I don't have anything to do except get you to sign two paper."

"Okay? Did something happen that makes you think you wont like high school?" asked Mrs. Grouse.

"No, mother. I never actually liked school to tell you the truth and I wont like it now either."

"Well just give me the papers you want signed and I will run upstairs and give them to you when I finish reading over them. Okay?"

"Ya sounds good." Kay hated how worked up her mother could get sometimes and when it got really bad Kay just ran upstairs and screamed bloody murder for a few minutes until she calmed down. That plan sounded really good to Kay right now. She went upstairs to her room and plopped down onto her bed. Before Kay could do anything about it, she had drifted off into a deep sleep........
